Bicester Village hosted a Colour Walk to welcome in Spring

Words by Naomi Herring in the Oxford Post.

On 7th March, a flurry of colour flooded Bicester Village as the designer outlet welcomes the turn of the season.

The shopping village in Pingle Drive is launching a campaign called Spring Fever to showcase artists and designers who live and work in London's East End.

It started with a Colour Walk through the Village bursting with all things bright and colourful.

Leading the walk was East End art doyenne Sue Kreitzman and included a host of other artists and designers who meet every month at Old Spitalfields Market to flaunt their fantastical clothing designs through the streets of East London.

It was the first time the walk took a detour and wound its way to Marylebone Station, where the colourful crowd climbed aboard the train to Bicester Village.

The Colour Walk included, among others, 'post-it poet' Andy Leek who is the artist behind the powerful 'Notes to Strangers' series; French fashion designer Anne Sophie Cochevelou; milliner-to-the-stars Noel Stewart; shoe designer extraordinaire Natacha Morro and celebrity stylist Daniel Lismore, whose creations combine haute couture with vintage fabrics and found objects.

Ms Kreitzman led the Colour Walk at 1pm through the Village and down its main shopping avenue, leaving behind a scattering of crepe-paper blooms.
